About the founder

Meet Henrico Swanepoel

Software engineer. Systems thinker. Builder of things that matter.

I’ve always been fascinated by the way things work. Whether it’s the mechanics of an old car, the architecture behind a complex software system, or the moving parts of a business, I find myself drawn to understanding what’s happening beneath the surface.

That curiosity eventually led me to software development, where I discovered something I care about just as much as the technology itself: solving the right problems.

My approach to software is grounded in a simple belief: technology should make life better, not more complicated. It should remove friction, give people clarity, and help businesses do what they do best without fighting the very systems meant to support them.

As a backend-focused software engineer, I’m particularly interested in the architecture, data, and engineering decisions that make software dependable. I enjoy taking complicated processes, understanding how their pieces fit together, and turning them into solutions that are practical, maintainable, and built to last.

But good software doesn't begin with code.

It begins with listening. Understanding how a business operates, where its time is being lost, what its people are struggling with, and what a meaningful improvement would actually look like. Sometimes the answer is a custom application. Sometimes it’s a better workflow. And sometimes, the most valuable decision is not to build anything at all.

That philosophy is at the heart of WrenchVerse Bespoke.

I started building toward this vision because I believe businesses deserve technology that fits the way they work, rather than being forced to reshape themselves around someone else's idea of how things should be done. Thoughtful engineering, honest conversations, and solutions designed around real needs should not be luxuries reserved for the largest companies.

My goal is to build software with intention: systems that solve genuine problems, respect the people who depend on them, and continue delivering value long after the initial excitement of launch has passed.

My faith in Jesus Christ shapes how I approach life, work, and the responsibility of building something of my own. I believe in doing honest work, treating people with integrity, and creating things that serve a purpose beyond themselves.

Outside of software, you'll often find me appreciating old cars, exploring new ideas, or thinking about how something ordinary could be made a little more extraordinary.

I’m not interested in building software simply for the sake of building software.

I’m interested in finding the bottleneck, understanding the bigger picture, and building the right solution.

That is the thinking behind WrenchVerse Bespoke... and the standard I want every project to reflect.

Find the bottleneck. Fix the right problem.
